The Horizon 2020 Capacity Building component has trained more than 3000 Mediterranean stakeholders

In July this year, the Mediterranean Environment Programme (CB/MEP), in charge of implementing the Capacity Building work programme of the Horizon 2020 Initiative, succeeded in having so far trained more than 3000 Mediterranean stakeholders through 132 activities dedicated to urban wastewater, municipal solid waste, industrial pollution and environmental mainstreaming.

In July this year, the Mediterranean Environment Programme (CB/MEP), in charge of implementing the Capacity Building work programme of the Horizon 2020 Initiative, succeeded in having so far trained more than 3000 Mediterranean stakeholders through 132 activities dedicated to urban wastewater, municipal solid waste, industrial pollution and environmental mainstreaming.

CB/MEP addresses the needs and priorities of the participating countries in a variety of fields and operations: from very technical, deepening the knowledge of specific target groups, to more general, for introducing new issues or for creating the necessary institutional and operational frameworks and strategies or for assisting the authorities to reach consensus with various stakeholders on burning issues.
