The Horizon 2020 user-friendly, interactive and self-paced distance learning modules (at the moment available only in English) have been designed specifically for the busy practitioner, administrator, professional, student and NGO staff member working for a cleaner Mediterranean.

Join and participate in the Horizon 2020 learning experience for free and once you’ve successfully completed your course you will be awarded a Horizon 2020 certificate of completion!

The H2020 Initiative

The "Horizon 2020 Initiative" aims to de-pollute the Mediterranean by the year 2020 by tackling the sources of pollution that account for around 80% of the overall pollution of the Mediterranean Sea: municipal waste, urban waste water and industrial pollution.

To implement and monitor actions three working groups were created to address:

Investments for Pollution Reduction (PR);
Capacity Building (CB) for achieving H2020 objectives;
Review, Monitoring and Research (RMR).

This project is funded by the European Commission through DG EuropeAid.
